HS_PlugInClient is a small utility from Gira that provides the client-side runtime for plug-ins used with the Gira HomeServer and FacilityServer. Installed on Windows PCs and Gira Control Clients, it hosts and executes plug-in modules so they can extend the HomeServer’s visualization and automation features without altering the core system.
The PlugIn Client typically handles the retrieval and versioning of plug-ins delivered by the server, manages their lifecycle on the client, and exposes the standard interfaces that plug-ins use to interact with HomeServer functions. It is commonly used to add specialized UI components, device integrations, media controls, or camera views within Gira visualizations such as the QuadClient. Designed to run quietly in the background, HS_PlugInClient supports centralized deployment by administrators and provides logging to aid troubleshooting, helping ensure a consistent and maintainable plug-in experience across client devices.
